Live Oak Rotary Club approached Suwannee Parks and Recreation about doing a large, impactful community project. The parks and recreation team suggested a Splashpad® because the community had been asking for a downtown Splashpad for some time. With this initiative, the First Federal Bank SportsPlex became the new downtown home of the Rotary Splashpad.

The Rotary Splashpad was opened in 2021 as part of the local club’s Centennial Celebration project. It raised over $100,000 from local businesses and individuals to contribute towards the project. Additional funding was provided by Pilgrim’s Pride and the Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners.

The colorful Splashpad offers three play zones for kids of different ages, including several interactive features from the Explora collection and Astra No3. The highlight is Twinsplash, a tall water bucket that dumps hundreds of gallons of water on the kids! The Splashpad is fully automated and controlled by the Vortex Maestro controller as well as a mechanical and UV system to keep the water clean and safe for participants throughout the day.
