The Tommy Garrott Aquatics Facility opened with a splash in what was a vacant lot adjacent to the Gallatin Civic Center. The Aquatic Center built a facility that they knew the community would want: a large pool featuring 3 towering waterslides with several Poolplay™ aquatic play features and a Splashpad®. The City utilized the NPPGov cooperative purchasing program to facilitate and speed up the buying process with Vortex for their spectacular water recreation facility. The aquatic center has universal appeal for all ages, from the high energy waterslides to the safe and interactive, zero-depth Splashpad™ that provides hours of fun for toddlers. The facility is proving popular with community folks and their neighbors; visitors come from nearby Nashville and even Kentucky. Admission fees and multi-day passes will ensure a strong ROI for the city, particularly with future plans to promote the facility through outdoor advertising.

Testimonials

« We've gotten a lot of very positive comments from folks about the aquatics facility. Even with daily admission fees, the facility is proving popular with folks in the community. »
David Brown,

Director, Parks & Recreation, City of Gallatin

« The biggest complaints we get are that the pool is closed from 4:00 to 4:30 pm each day for maintenance. Once people immerse themselves in the play environment they just don't want to stop! »
David Brown,

Director, Parks & Recreation, City of Gallatin
