Largest Splashpad in Michigan coming to Southfield

Southfield residents have an exciting new project coming their way in 2024. Beech Woods Park will be the home of Michigan’s largest Splashpad®, which will also include a fenced-in park, seating, shade, bathrooms, showers, vending machines and gazebos.

Vortex Aquatic Structures created the Splash pad design: a 6300 sq.ft. aquatic play space with a focus on inclusive play. The focal point of this exciting new project will be a massive custom Elevations™ structure with custom graphics, offering four slides and a host of aquatic play features. Combined with the surrounding Splash pad, children of all ages and abilities will be able to engage with over 50 interactive water features.

Southfield used the NPPGov cooperative purchasing program to secure the Splash pad, which will be the first aquatic play space for the city.
