Bahama Beach Waterpark refurbishment includes Vortex Elevations™ play structure

PROJECT TYPE: REFURBISHMENT – NEW ELEVATIONS™
ANTICIPATED OPENING: SUMMER 2026
The City of Dallas has just announced that it will be undergoing a massive refurbishment of its Bahama Beach Waterpark in the spring of 2026. The very popular Coconut Cove will be transformed: specifically, the existing structure will be replaced by an eye-catching 16-deck Elevations™ play structure from Vortex!
Kraftsman Commercial Playgrounds & Waterparks, a Vortex partner, worked very closely with the City to develop this exciting new concept. The new multi-level structure features 16 decks and over 55 water play features. It will also offer a multitude of waterslides: three closed flume slides, one open flume slide, and a kiddie racer for little adventurers. Theming is a key element of the new design: custom panels will match Bahama Beach’s current cast of characters, and additional items will be customized to enhance and reinforce the park’s beach/tropical theme.
The project was purchased through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative to expedite the buying process while ensuring the best pricing. The City was also able to secure some project funding through a government grant.
