Sol Falcó by Melià

At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Vortex collaborated with Melià Hotels International to transform the pool area of its Hotel Sol Falcó in Menorca. The goal was to refresh the aging pool with an unforgettable experience for guests. By working with the pool’s existing infrastructure, the Vortex team was able to offer a turnkey solution including installation.

A massive Elevations™ structure holds pride of place between two of the pools, featuring three unique slides that drop into the deeper pool. Both the Elevations structure and slides are incorporated into a massive rock-themed construction. Vortex’s engineering team played a key role to ensure the Elevations and waterslides blended seamlessly with the rock structure, and in turn with the rest of the pool.

On the other side of the structure is a shallower pool area that hosts a Splashpad® configuration. Younger families can enjoy a variety of water play interactions, including the whimsical Fish No1 and Crab No1, Spiroo, Spray loops, and then taller features such as Leaf No2 and Bloom No1.

Colors for the Elevations structure and Splashpad features reflect the company branding, and the hotel group’s brand is featured on the SuperSplash bucket.

Whether families spend a few days or two weeks at the hotel, each day is an adventure in this beautiful waterpark space!
