Vortex International Donates Record $20,000 to Angela’s Big Hearts for Little Kids Fund

Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Through its annual fundraising golf tournament, Vortex International has collected its largest single donation to date, presenting Montreal Children’s Hospital’s Angela’s Big Hearts for Little Kids Fund with a gift of $20,000.

Established by Mr. Paul McDonald 20 years ago, Angela’s Big Hearts for Little Kids Fund is instrumental in saving the lives of children with cardiac malformation by helping the expert medical team of the Montreal Children’s Hospital’s Cardiovascular Surgery division develop new procedures, procure state-of-the-art equipment, expand, develop, and improve programs and services, and invest in research. The Fund now totals well over half a million dollars.

Vortex has been a proud supporter of Angela’s Big Hearts for Little Kids Fund for the past 15 years and was recognized earlier this year as a “Supernova of hope and support” for patients. A cornerstone of its community involvement, the company’s annual golf tournament brings together players of all skill levels for a day on the links and raises funds through the efforts and generosity of Vortex employees, partners, and suppliers.

"My son Jaxon underwent open heart surgery at only 7 days old and then later had another important intervention to improve his heart's blood flow. The Children's team did an outstanding job in saving Jaxon's life. And in addition to saving him, they provided us with incredible support and hope for a bright future," says Chanelle Auger, Jaxon's mom.

“We are incredibly proud to present this donation, made possible by the dedication of the employees behind our annual golf tournament and the generosity of everyone involved. These funds stand as a symbol of our ongoing commitment to helping ensure every child has the opportunity to grow and to play. Thank you to Angela’s Big Hearts for Little Kids Fund and the Montreal Children’s Hospital for everything you do,” said Virginie Guilbeault, Executive Vice President of Vortex Aquatic Structures International.
