A cocktail reception was held at the Montreal Children’s Hospital on April 26th in recognition of the funds raised by Angela’s Big Hearts for Little Kids Fund, established by Mr. Paul C. McDonald 20 years ago. Vortex International representatives were in attendance to celebrate the company’s significant contribution to the Fund, which now totals over half a million dollars.
Reliable sources of funding help accelerate discoveries and push the frontiers of medical science. In supporting Angela’s Big Hearts for Little Kids Fund, Vortex is instrumental in saving the lives of children with cardiac malformations by helping the expert medical team of the Montreal Children Hospital’s Cardiovascular Surgery division develop new procedures, procure state-of-the-art equipment, expand, develop, and improve programs and services, and invest in research.
"Thanks in part to Vortex's commitment and long-standing dedication to the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation, over half a million dollars have been raised for Angela's Big Hearts for Little Kids Fund. This fund supports the work of the Children's cardiologists as well as cardiovascular surgeons who are among the best in North America and provides the most up-to-date equipment. Thank you for your generosity," said Renée Vézina, President of the Foundation, following the presentation of a commemorative plaque.
Stephan Hamelin, President of Vortex International, graciously accepted the honor on behalf of the team. “This recognition is a reflection of our values and the dedication that our employees have towards the welfare of children. The wonderful partnership that we have with the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation enables us to make a difference in the health of children.” he added.
