Creative aquatic play structure transforms Homeowners association wading pool

The Silverlake community in Houston, Texas had a wading pool that looked tired and unappealing. As a result, it didn’t get much use. There simply wasn’t much play value for families in the neighborhood.

So the Homeowners Association decided to take action and called upon Vortex to “work its magic.” The result is a transformation, complete with exciting new colors and interactive water play features that keeps the existing “bones” of the pool – piping, filtration system and pool shell – intact to minimize the renovation cost. The assignment was right up Vortex’s alley: Engaging aquatic play is at the heart of everything Vortex does, regardless of the size or complexity of the project.

This change has completely revitalized the facility at Silverlake – it is now a refreshing, engaging and exciting water play structure that encourages exploration and imaginative play. Two wavy slides and plenty of spraying, splashing and sprinkling water features captivate young neighborhood residents (and their parents). The refurbished wading pool o ers visually stimulating and tactile experiences – and a real added value for home owners and the HOA.
