Mechanical Engineering Drafter


The Mechanical Engineering Drafter will work in a multidisciplinary team dedicated to product design. He/She participates in the design, layout, modification and improvement of aquatic plays solutions and products. The selected candidate will participate in the mechanical design and realization of the manufacturing drawings.



• Develop, design and produce assembly and manufacturing drawings for products and subcomponents for both prototyping and mass production;

• Model, create technical drawings, conceive 2D plans and follow up with the production team;

• Gain a clear understanding of the functionality of the product design in order to translate into technical reality

• Collaborate on product improvement projects including:

                   o Define complete solutions including the necessary methods and components;

                   o Perform calculations and validate structural drawings using SolidWorks;

                   o Write the required technical reports and participate in various projects feasibility studies

                   o Create and review items in the ERP System;

• Participate in design reviews and research and development sessions;

• Participate in various meetings to monitor projects;

Skills and competencies:

• Good knowledge of mechanical engineering design;

• Knowledge of various metal manufacturing processes;

• Ability to synthetize and good analytical skills

• Very good knowledge of "SolidWorks" and "PDM Works";

• Bilingual French and English (Written and Spoken)

• Efficiency, attention to detail, meticulousness and dynamism;

• Autonomy, good communication skills and teamwork oriented;

• Knowledge of welding symbols (asset);


Experience and Education:

• College diploma in mechanical engineering

• Min 3 years' experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing;
