Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Montreal, Quebec

The Mechanical Drafter/Designer works in a multidisciplinary team that designs, modifies and value-engineers the various features and solutions used in our aquatic play landscapes. He/she is responsible for the technical drawings related to product development/modification.   • Gain a clear understanding of the functionality of the product design in order to translate into technical reality
  • Create, modify or review fabrication and installation drawings
  • Produce bills of materials for manufacturing
  • Verify the tolerance and dimension of materials used
  • Write product specifications and operation manuals
  • Archive drawings in documentation repository
  • Communicate pertinent technical products changes to all concerned parties
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and material limits
  • Perform other related duties as required

  • Strong technical competence in order to understand and, if needed, challenge designs that are not technically feasible
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to perform moderately complex calculations

  • Bilingual, French and English

Experience and Training:

  • 3-5 year's business experience;
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • DEC in computer assisted design or related field or DEP in industrial design
  • Excellent knowledge of Autocad and Solidworks
  • Knowledge of EPDM
  • Experience in an ISO 9001 environment(asset) 
  • Experience with a product development process (PDP) considered an asset.
