Industrial Engineer


The Industrial Engineer is responsible for initiating changes to ensure the continuous improvement and optimization of our production methods, taking into account the human, economic and technical aspects of our organization. Our production site has recently been moved and the Industrial Engineer will work with our VP Operations and his team and bring all his knowledge and his strategic vision to decide on the direction to follow for the optimization of our new facilities. The tasks related to the role of Industrial Engineer can be very diverse and require initiative, originality, creativity and an excellent ability to analyse our existing processes.

The selected person will have the mandate to proactively identify the potential improvements to implement, including:

  • Work at optimizing production and assist in solving technical and operational problems;
  • Ensure the maintenance of high standards of product performance and quality;
  • Train production staff on good operational practices and their maintenance;
  • Participate in the implementation of the best manufacturing practices; Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, ... in team with the production;
  • Anticipate future needs and make recommendations to the team on future improvements to be implemented;
  • Design and implement engineering solutions;
  • Ensure design cohesion with engineering rules and standards;
  • Manage improvement projects and participate in the deployment and implementation of new processes and equipment (systems / machines) of the plant;
  • Gather the information necessary for the optimal operation of systems and equipment;
  • Participate in the implementation of good health and safety practices

Experience and education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Industrial Engineering;
  • Be a member of the OIQ (an asset)
  • Minimum of one (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience;
  • Manufacturing experience and familiar with continuous improvement concepts ("Lean Manufacturing", Six Sigma Certification, Kaizen etc.)
