Water System Engineer

The Water System Engineer is responsible for research and development activities leading to the development of new solutions and the improvement of existing solutions, in compliance with company vision, budgets and timelines. Water System Engineer assignments can be broad in nature requiring initiative, originality, ingenuity and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • As a member a multidisciplinary team, provide mechanical leadership in project development and execution;
  • Develops new products, within the limits of manufacturing capabilities
  • Use technical customer service and customer feedback to investigate on how to improve our existing solutions;
  • Modelization, analysis and interpretation of data to identify areas of improvement and impulse enhancement of our existing solutions;
  • Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and standards related to product development;
  • Participates in production meetings in order to train the teams involved in the manufacturing of new products;
  • Creates and tests prototypes;
  • Performs monitoring of prototype manufacturing  including report writing;
  • Provides a variety of solutions to solve problems within the cost parameters;
  • Communicates any changes to internal product teams;
  • Creates technical drawings, as necessary;
  •  Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and education

  • 4-7 years as a mechanical engineer in a manufacturing environment;
  • Knowledge of Water System Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
  • Member of the Order of Engineers.
