Montreal, Canada – April 7, 2011 - Vortex Aquatic Structures International, the world leader in aquatic play solutions, is pleased to introduce the Nooks; translucent design elements that add a new dimension of play possibilities to Splashpads®! Use them to define space, to direct flow, to add to the playfulness or to encourage social play among children on your zero depth installation.The Nooks are an element that compliment the planned play environment and add detail to the play narrative of the Splashpad. They can act/function as hideouts or shields that invite exploration to more intimidating areas, at the child’s own pace. They can be used to make more aggressive water pressure features
seem approachable. The deceptively simple yet beautiful shapes of the Nooks are intended to revive aquatic play creativity and imagination in the design phase as well as be visually attractive to all visitors of the park.
Nooks are made from a durable Polymer material Seeflow™. The bright translucent colors of Nooks also create visually stimulating play because of how they reflect light. The optical properties make the combination of the bright colors, water and sunlight a visual spectacle.
